Fun Facts: Red Deer are Elk-like in appearance, though
they are smaller in size. They have long
legs, excellent vision and a keen sense
of smell to assist in detecting and escaping
danger.
They shed their antlers in the
winter and the antlers grow back in the
spring. The calves are born in late spring
or early summer and are able to stand
almost immediately after birth.
