The first grandchild of Gussie Busch, Robert (Bob) R. Hermann admires his grandfather’s ability to make everyone in the room feel like a close friend. He also remembers him for his love, perseverance, wisdom and kindness.

Today, Bob serves as the Chairman and CEO of Hermann Companies and its many successful investment endeavors – the most prominent being Anchor Packaging, the largest polypropylene food container manufacturer in North America. Previously, Bob helped disrupt the marketing industry by creating an innovative way to merge the direct-mail business with corporate identity programs, eventually serving Fortune 500 companies, including IBM, United Airlines, AT&T, and Pepsi. He continues to offer his business expertise to investment partners and customers by focusing on providing unique and individualized solutions to best fit the needs of each organization.

Passionate about the St. Louis community and civic affairs, Bob has served as the Board Chairman for St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Saint Louis Zoo, and Grants Farm. He also chaired the $100 million capital campaign for Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School (MICDS). In addition, Bob is on the board of Missouri Botanical Garden (emeritus), Municipal Theatre Association (MUNY), and Central Bancorp. 

A graduate of Princeton University, Bob received a degree in economics. His hobbies include a multi-engine and helicopter pilot license. To advance his most important beliefs and values, Bob established the Hermann Family Foundation.
